Fig Brie Arugula Grilled Cheese (Print)

Creamy Brie, fig preserves, and arugula melded between crisp sourdough slices for a gourmet treat.

# Components:

→ Bread & Dairy

01 - 4 slices sourdough bread
02 - 4 oz Brie cheese, sliced
03 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

→ Fruits & Greens

04 - 2 tbsp fig preserves
05 - 1 cup fresh arugula

→ Optional

06 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Directions:

01 - Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice.
02 - Place two bread slices, butter-side down, on a clean surface and spread 1 tablespoon of fig preserves evenly on each.
03 - Layer sliced Brie evenly over the preserves, then add a generous handful of fresh arugula.
04 - Cover each with the remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
05 - Preheat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.
06 - Place sandwiches onto the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, pressing gently, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
07 - Remove sandwiches from heat, allow to rest for 1 minute, then slice and garnish with freshly ground black pepper as desired.
