# Directions:
01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Toss the asparagus spears with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if using until evenly coated.
03 - Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 8 strips approximately 1 inch wide and 6 inches long.
04 - Gather 3 asparagus spears and wrap one pastry strip around the center of each bundle, leaving tips and ends exposed. Pinch the ends of the pastry together at the bottom to form a star-like shape.
05 - Place bundles on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
06 - Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until the pastry is crisp and golden brown.
07 - Serve the bundles warm, optionally garnished with additional Parmesan cheese.
